Veneers
A veneer is a thin layer of porcelain or composite bonded to the front of a tooth to change its shape, size or colour.
What veneers can help with
- Chipped or worn teeth
- Discoloured teeth that don't respond to whitening
- Small gaps between teeth
- Teeth that are slightly uneven in shape or size
What's involved
Porcelain veneers are usually done over two appointments: one to prepare the teeth and take a scan or impression, and one to bond the veneers in place. You don't need to veneer every tooth — we'll work out how many make sense for you.
Preparing a tooth for a porcelain veneer usually means removing a thin layer of enamel, so it's not reversible. We'll go through this, the alternatives, and the costs before you decide.
